JAMIE EVANGELINE LANGFORD WOOD, 87, recently of Richmond, Texas (formerly Sand Springs, OK) passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012.
She was born in Alice, Texas on April 19, 1925 to Homer and Nettie (Clemons) Langford. Jamie graduated from Jay, Oklahoma in 1944 and married Claude LaVerne Wood on April 26, 1945 in Tulsa, he preceded her in death. Jamie helped in her husband’s business Wood Electric located in Sand Springs for over forty years. She was a member of the 38th street Church of Christ in Sand Springs where she attended for over fifty years. Jamie loved cooking, canning, sewing, working with flowers and being with her family.
Jamie is survived by her children Nancy Pilant, Ron Wood, Tim Wood, and Cheryl Walker and husband Brent and seven grandchildren: Steven Pilant, Danielle Wood, Ben Wood, Asher Wood, Lindy Wood, Shelby Walker and Brad Walker. A brother Ethni Langford of California and sister Melvina Lovell of Arkansas.
She was predeceased in death by her husband Claude LaVerne Wood.
